Alberto Uviedo, head of the new technologies department of Motion Pictures, opines on the impact of Glumpers into New Technologies: “Besides that, for the ones that 2’ episodes might be a trouble for broadcasted, we created a 26 x 11’ version composed by 17 block of 11 minutes + 9 thematic blocks that can be also used as specials in specific moments of the years and events such as Horror (Halloween), Love (Valentine’s), Summer, Sports, Football (Eurocup), etc.
The show, a co-production with TV3, has already been presold to RAI, RTP, NRK, Jojo, Global TV, PopOto, Orlando Kids, Mediacorp, CBBC-My Toons and Sorpresa, among some others, and has already achieved more than 40.000 fans in Facebook (www.facebook.com/Glumpers) and than 2 million views in You Tube (www.youtube.com/TheGlumpers). This last fact does nothing but confirming our initial thought on how suitable a content as Glumpers can be in the new media side. Because of this, we are also working in videogames that will soon be available in Facebook and the series site http://www.glumpers.com/en , altogether with all kind of screensavers, ringtones and extra content. The site is in constant development and the idea is it ends up being a meeting point for the whole Glumperfans community, which is growing faster every day. Of course, gaming apps related are going to be announced soon.”
